How to hook up a bugera btx 36000 to a SWR Goliath?

I have a bugera btx 36000 bass head and a SWR Goliath Sr 6 x 10 cab. For some reason the amp keeps cutting out, possibly overheating? I'm not sure how to equalize the ohms between the two to figure out what might be causing the problem. I'm a guitar player and my bass player doesn't know anything about it so I'm trying to help him out.
